Education
- Anna Yum graduated with a J.D. (Juris Doctorate) from the University of San Diego School of Law.
- Prior to graduating from law school, Ms. Yum obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from Northwestern University in Evanston, IL , where she double majored in Communication Studies and International Studies.
- While a student at the University of San Diego School of Law, Anna was inducted into the prestigious Order of Barristers, a national honorary organization which recognizes the best oral advocates in her graduating class.
- Anna was also 1 of 4 recipients in her graduating class to receive the American Board of Trial Advocates Award.
Riverside County District Attorney's Office
- Upon graduating from law school and passing the California bar examination on her first attempt, Anna became a Deputy District Attorney at the Riverside County District Attorney's Office.
- Anna engaged in a very successful and respected career at the District Attorney's Office.
- During Anna's tenure at the District Attorney's Office, she received a number of awards and honors. She was nominated for Riverside County Misdemeanor Prosecutor of the Year in 2006, she won Employee of the Month while on the misdemeanor trial team and sexual assault child abuse team.
- Anna was also personally handpicked by the Riverside County District Attorney to be highlighted in the annual recruiting brochure due to her success in the office.

Prosecution and Defense Experience
- Anna is an aggressive trial lawyer and she has an impressive record of success. She has conducted at least 20 jury trials in the past three years alone.
- Just recently, Anna engaged in a three week trial defending a former teacher accused of molesting two former male students. The case garnered extensive media attention. After a mistrial was declared, it was revealed that had the judge not declared a mistrial, the jury would have acquitted the defendant on three counts regarding one victim and they would have been hung 9 in favor of not guilty with respect to the other alleged victim.
- During law school, Anna served as a judicial extern in Los Angeles for the Honorable Robert M. Takasugi, a Senior Federal Court Judge in the Central District of California.
- Anna has also served as a certified law clerk for the San Diego Public Defender's Office. As a law clerk, she gained experience in defending indigent men and women accused of committing crimes.
- As a former prosecutor, Anna understands prosecution methods and strategies. She effectively uses her prior work experience to prepare for her clients' defense.
