Julia Kaneshiro is an Associate Attorney at the Law Offices of Anna R. Yum. Ms. Kaneshiro has focused on Criminal Law throughout her education and legal career having previously interned with the San Diego County District Attorney’s Office. Ms. Kaneshiro gained invaluable experience serving in three rotations with the DA’s office: the Family Protection Division, Superior Court Division, and the Juvenile Division. After graduation and while waiting for her bar examination results, Ms. Kaneshiro interned as a post-bar law clerk with the Law Offices of Anna R. Yum. As an Associate with the Law Offices of Anna R. Yum, Ms. Kaneshiro works closely with Ms. Yum in representing clients in numerous criminal misdemeanor and felony matters. In addition, Ms. Kaneshiro is highly skilled and knowledgeable in representing the firm’s clients in defending against and/or filing temporary restraining orders.
Ms. Kaneshiro graduated from California Western School of Law in 2018. As for her undergraduate education, Ms. Kaneshiro graduated from the University of Hawaii at Manoa in 2014 with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science. Ms. Kaneshiro is licensed to practice law in California and Hawaii.
As an active leader and participant in the San Diego legal community, Ms. Kaneshiro serves as the Secretary for the Korean American Bar Association of San Diego, and was a founding member of the Japanese American Bar Association, San Diego Committee. In law school, Ms. Kaneshiro was the Vice President of the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association.
In her free time, Ms. Kaneshiro loves spending time with her dog, cooking, and exercising at the gym.
